Inspired by the beauty and fragility of nature, Alyson Thorpe is passionate about painting watercolour florals. The medium provides a continuing opportunity to learn new techniques and explore expressive colour. Her delicate style and impressionistic designs attract people to her art and she delights in a successful painting that glows.
Alyson had the priviledge of private lessons early in her art career and has taken a multitude of watercolour workshops. In the last decade she has attended workshops in France, Italy, Ireland, South Africa, and the US. Of course, she has attended many art classes here at home in Canada.
She is a member of the South Surrey White Rock Art Society, Vancouver Art Guild, and the Westcoast Calligraphy Society. Alyson offers private lessons to beginners at her home studio in White Rock.
